Lindsay Anderson, LCSW, SEP is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner with over 15 years of experience in private practice, working with individuals, children, and families. Her approach is authentic, compassionate, and respectful, honoring each client’s unique strengths and resources.
Lindsay has extensive training in somatic therapies, the Trauma Resiliency Model, EMDR, mindfulness practices, play therapy, and family therapy. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of California, Los Angeles, and has worked in diverse settings, including pediatric renal transplant services, residential day treatment within the foster care system, and the Child and Family Study Center in the Department of Psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. During her time at Cedars-Sinai, she worked for several years at Cheerful Helpers Therapeutic Nursery School, providing play therapy, family therapy, and facilitating parent support groups.
Lindsay takes a holistic, integrative approach in her work with infants, children, adolescents, adults, and families. She views symptoms not as pathology but as natural mind-body responses to overwhelming or life-threatening experiences. Specializing in early attachment breaches and complex developmental trauma, she weaves together psychodynamic psychotherapy, somatic practices, and her deep knowledge of the physiology and neurobiology of trauma and resilience. Through this integrative lens, she supports clients in the process of trauma resolution, embodiment, and healing into wholeness.
